BEFORE & AFTER : CHELSEA DUPLEX FOYER - HALLWAY
The Foyer off of the private elevator was a darker area which needed to be well lit.
It also sets the tone for the rest of the home.
So Right from the entrance, I integrated touches of my clients family heritage so they always feel greeted by familiar loved pieces.
The idea was to create an airy modern space throughout with fun touches through the display of art and the use of beautiful natural textures.
This mid century style bench in walnut, right in the entrance, was upholstered in an original Suzani fabric. Such a fun fabric! It is flanked by an amazing representation of Native American art which grazes the whole wall. The runner, is also a very unique piece. It is hand woven with tribal geometric designs and it leads the way to a bright leaving space, where more touches of colors and light meet the eyes.
