A place to seat in the foyer...

The foyer being the first space that you see when entering a home, it is important to make it inviting.

According to Feng Shui, The entrance of your home is also the "mouth of Chi", which is the entrance for good energy. This energy nourishes all your home, your goals and dreams. You want to make sure that your entrance allows the most good energy to come in your space with some great Feng Shui tips for your home entrance.

Here are some great examples of design for a welcoming and elegant foyer.

Let me know which one is your favorite...

A mirror in the entrance is a great way to enhance the good energy and double the luck!

All the Feng Shui natural elements are represented in the entrance. Water with the mirror, earth with the coral accent and ceramic vase, wood with the 3 stools and green plant, metal with the metal Buddha accent and the white console, Fire with the abundance of wood items that nourishes the fire.

Love this well lit entrance. This is really creating a great energy .

The elegance of Arches in Design

There are natural arches like this one from the National Park in Utah

There are ancient and historical arches like these Oman Mosque Marble Arches

Designers and architects also use nature and history to bring or showcase the most exquisite elements to an interior. Arches represent a very architectural home attribute that brings elegance, grandeur and really  uniqueness to a space. There are many styles of arches. They are used in corridors, door entrances and even windows.

Here are some interesting styles and shapes that I trust you will enjoy as much as I do.

Designing around the Globe...

Love this staircases look! The colorful world maps nicely framed are just a step away from discovering new countries and horizons...

Properly framed, lit, and displayed antique maps can be a part of almost any successful design scheme. World Globes are always a great addition to infuse a sense of world travel experience and culture to any interior.

Here are some great interior images where maps and globes are showcased to give a sense of grandeur to the space.

Here, the antique world Globe is paired with amazing artisanal pieces, books and a large painting illustrating the arrival of boats to the Americas. This creates a well lived in historical atmosphere and gives a very vintage look to this foyer. I love it!

The map can also have a more modern look and add an education piece to your teenagers room. It is fun and useful!

A living room with a lot of character showcasing a world globe by Designer Moises Esquenazi

Love this antique map from Paris! Anyone wants to travel with me?

Family Room Design with world Globe

Chairs Designs inspired by Flowers...

Don't some chairs totally reminds you of flowers? Very talented designers all over the world have designed chairs  which are not only functional but also beautiful and comfortable.

As Spring is in the air,...I thought I would share with you some beautiful images of what nature has inspired...

This very elegant traditional Pink Bergere which really looks like a pretty pink tulip  would be a great addition to a feminine boudoir for all of you elegant Ladies...

Orange Coco Chair

The famous Coco chair designed by Alphaville Design! This retro modern lounge chair is made in the style of the George Nelson Coconut Chair design introduced in 1955. Doesn't she looks like a beautiful orange tulip?

MOORE, an armchair with a swivel seat, is a sculpture with a living and enveloping form that immediately makes it an icon. An ample goblet-shaped seat is pivoted and turns on a base plate thanks to a sophisticated hidden mechanism, both in lacquered nylon in various colour variants ranging from bronze, to lead to white. Due to the special properties of this lacquer, it can be used both indoors and outdoors. Doesn't it reminds you of a gorgeous Calla Lily? It would certainly look amazing on your terrace next to a bed of calla lily flowers...

The Clover’s white design chair is so inviting, you feel lucky just seating into it! The organic curves give it loads of sensual character. The small white arm chair is designed by Ron Arad is perfect for indoor as well as outdoor use.  I simply love the name.

At age 82, Pierre Paulin may have been one of the oldest designer still creating beautiful things. More than 50 years after producing his first work, he made the Flower Chair, above, from injection-molded translucent polycarbonate for Magis. Just the name talk for itself... Truly gracious!

The Bloom Lounge Chair is made of microfiber stitched over a resin top with a steel base. Inspired by the graceful blossom of a flower, this lounge chair is sculpted by hundreds of fine running stitches radiating from the center of the seat creating a subtle textural feel. Invisible supports form shapes reminiscent of soft and graceful musical tones. It really reminds me of an Hibiscus flower from the beautiful island of Martinique, my family's island...

Ito describes his design style as "simplexity," meaning a mix of simple shapes that are nevertheless very complex to design. His 2002 Petal chair for Italian furniture-design agency Cappellini looks like it could have been cooked up in a second, but it took months of careful honing to perfect its sensuous fiberglass shell, which encases a foam-padded seat upholstered in leather. Petals come in several colors, so they can be grouped together to form a flower. So spring like!

Hope you have enjoyed my selection of beautiful flower chairs. Which one is your favorite?

In a more relaxed and eclectic space such as this sitting room, the classic diamond pattern of the Natura sisal carpet by Stark really stands out.
