Balance in Feng Shui House Design

apartment

When buying or selling a feng shui house, the buyer or seller needs to know how to promote or how to choose the beneficial features of the home. Even if a buyer does not believe in the feng shui principles, there are still benefits of homes that are designed according to feng shui principles. One reason is that these types of homes are usually very airy and roomy, and every aspect of the home is well thought out. The rooms of the home are also placed in a certain way so that the flow from one room to the next makes sense and is not blocked in any way.

Choices

One aspect of feng shui house design is the choice of colors.

The colors in a feng shui home are often in pastels which are considered peaceful and not provoking. The choice in colors might be a deterrent to those that are not fond of pastels, but they can always change the color schemes once the home is their own. The colors that are used in the bedroom of the feng shui house design are usually subdued rather than vibrant because the room should be restful rather than stimulating. The living area of the feng shui house design will usually have more vibrant colors in it, such as reds which represent happiness in a person's life.

Another aspect of feng shui house design is the placement of the rooms and the lack of long hallways.

The family room is the heart of the home and should be spacious and airy without a lot of furniture to get in the way. The master bedroom will be placed away from the entrance of the home so that it is safe and secure. The dining room will always be located by the kitchen and the placement of the stove and sink in the kitchen are also placed very purposefully. In the kitchen, the stove will never be placed so that when the owner works at it he will have his back to the door. It is believed that the cook should be able to work without surprise and so should be able to see every one coming in and out of the kitchen. One other important aspect of feng shui house design is the placement of the bathrooms, which are said to represent the finances of the family. The bathrooms should never be located at the end of a long hallway since hallways are considered to pull Chi down them too quickly and turbulently so that it rushes into the bathroom area where it is flushed down the toilet or goes down the other drains.

Feng Shui tips for better sleep

picture-12

Feng Shui Tips 1:

Sleep is very important for the overall health of a person; so if you have difficulty sleeping, it is always better to follow these Feng Shui tips for better sleep and health. A very important feng shui tip is to avoid sleeping with the head towards the door. This is because according to feng shui, the best place to position the bed and to sleep is a position where you can see the door, without actually being across from it. This is why you should also avoid sleeping with your feet right in front of the entrance.

Feng shui tips also state that it is not healthy to sleep under a window as this has a bad impact on your chi. It may make you lose some positive energy by dispersing it. In addition to this, by sleeping under a window, any bad chi that enters the room directly affects you. If you have no alternative than sleeping under a window, it is better to hang a curtain on the window to prevent bad chi from entering the room.

Feng Shui Tips 2:

Feng shui tips are indeed effective in inducing effective sleep. Besides the feng shui tips mentioned above, it is also better to ensure that there are no pictures of water in your bedroom. This is because according to feng shui, pictures of water in the bedroom not only causes insomnia, but is also taught to bring bad luck to the people sleeping in the room.So if you find that there is a picture of water in the bedroom, either remove it or at least, ensure that it is as far from the bed as possible. Another feng shui tip to remember for effective sleep is to ensure that there are no poisoning arrows pointing towards your bed.

You can find out if there are any poisoning arrows in your bedroom by looking for edgy elements or corners pointing to the place you sleep. And if you find some elements like this, and find that it is difficult to get rid of it, try to work at neutralizing its bad effect. This can be done by either covering the edge or by placing a plant in front of it.

Feng Shui Money Tips: Make affirmations!

my-wealth.png

Make a list of things that you desire or want to achieve. Doing this helps you clarify your intentions. So be bold! Take a notepad or open a new document on your computer and make a list of 108  things you want to do or have in your life (It sounds like a lot but it is a multiple of 9: the Feng Shui Lucky number). Each time you achieve one you should cross it off and send your thanks to God or the Universe.

Make affirmations of what you want or where you want to be like  though you are already there. Good examples are “My financial resources are increasing steadily every day”, “I always have what is necessary for my family”, “Money comes to me regularly and easily”, etc…

It is important to clarify your intentions to reach your objectives. Feng Shui will help you to do so.

Feng Shui Money Tips: Know what you want!

Know what you want: The strength of your intention is what makes your success with Feng Shui. If you are enthusiastic and excited with an idea or a project, your energy level is so much higher than if you don’t really believe in it. When you focus on an unsatisfactory situation, your energy becomes stuck there. You need to approach things with optimism, confidence, enthusiasm and panache! This helps keeping the energy high to feed the project.

A great way to help you define what you want and actually manifesting your desires in your life is by using visualization.

To help visualize your dreams and desires, you can use a vision board that can be a simple foam or cork board where you place a happy picture of you and words, images, photographs, quotes of the things you want to attract in your life.

Some people even have their vision board on their computer screen saver or even their iphone...

Important thing to remember, place  your vision board where you can see it on a daily basis at home or at the office and look at it everyday. It will help you realize what you really want.

Feng Shui Basics: The Bagua

picture-5.png

The term “bagua” is derived from the book of the I-Ching, a sacred text used to tell the future. But while the word may sound foreign or unfamiliar to you, ‘Feng Shui Bagua’ is one of the most basic and fundamental tools of Feng Shui.

An ancient Chinese term “bagua” means “eight areas” (“ba”=eight, “gua”=area) and Feng Shui bagua is a map or chart that relates the various areas of your life to the 8 sections of your living space. These eight main sections of a space are represented by what are known as “guas” of the bagua map. The bagua map can also have a ninth center section that corresponds to the 8 major corresponding life areas. So in this way the layout of bagua map shows the nine main energy centers that we value the most.

The energy map is placed over a floor plan of the space. With the help of the map, Feng Shui Practitioners can emphasize and pinpoint the areas which need immediate attention so that they can be enhanced by Feng Shui practice.
