Can Feng Shui Really Help Me Find My Soulmate?

bedroom-view.png

Feng Shui can certainly help you find love, find your soulmate. The important thing to understand, though, is that a feng shui consultant is not walking into your space with a magic wand and a clear timeline for the expected results. As with everything, you are the one who has to make it happen - and feng shui is a very powerful tool to speed up the love search process and save you a lot of time and effort.

From my experience with clients looking for a love partner, a big factor in how quickly you will see results lies in:

how clear you are with what you want?

how ready you are to accept love in your life?

You also have to know yourself very well and know what works for you. Being honest with yourself and committed to your happiness is the first step to attract honest, committed people into your life.

Let me ask you, are you really ready for love? I mean, if the man or the woman of your dreams were to walk into your home today, what message will your home (and particularly your bedroom) be sending?

Last, but not least, if you are pragmatic about using feng shui for love, most likely feng shui will not work so well for you. If you are ready to give feng shui for love a try, do it with an open heart and total commitment.

The clients who achieved the most beautiful results truly believed in feng shui as an energy tool and applied the feng shui for love tips diligently and with a clear intent.

Feng Shui Bed Guidelines - Do You Have a Good Feng Shui Bed?- Part 1

bedroom-4.png

Feng Shui Guidelines for Your Bed

Your bed is the most important Feng Shui piece of furniture in your entire life. Strong feng shui statement, isn’t it? Strong, but true. Your bed is the only piece of furniture that has the most intimate (and intricate!) connection to your personal energy.

The role of the feng shui of your bed and your bedroom in relation to your health, your well-being, as well as the quality of your relationships cannot be overestimated.

Needless to say, feng shui-wise, a good bed is one of the most important feng shui purchases you will make for your own wellbeing.

What makes a great feng shui bed? Three things:

Good headboard. While you are drifting off to sleep, your body is going into an extra busy energy repair work on many levels. Subconsciously, your head needs good backing, protection and support, just like your back needs it when you are seating in a chair for extended periods of time. Best feng shui headboards are the ones that are solid and made from wood, or the upholstered ones, as they have a very good combination of solid, but also gentle and supporting feng shui energy for you and your bedroom.

Good mattress. There is a variety of mattresses on the market, choose wisely and invest in the one that will promote best sleep and

relaxation. The better you sleep at night, the better your health during the day, this is really simple. Be mindful of good feng shui and do not

buy used mattresses - you never know what energy they have accumulated from previous owners.

Good height. To allow for a balanced feng shui energy flow under the bed you need to have your bed at a reasonable height above the floor

level. Generally, the beds that have built-in storage drawers underneath to help you with storage solutions are considered bad feng shui beds.

Why? Because the energy needs to circulate around your body when you sleep, which is not possible if the space underneath the bed is

blocked.

Hopefully your bed meets the feng shui criteria for a good (or great!) feng shui bed. What do you do next? Well, you see if it has the best feng shui positioning in your bedroom. Read my next article...

Feng Shui Wedding: "The perfect venue".

The perfect Venue is the one you dreamt about since you were little...

Feng Shui only adds a few elements to guide you in the direction to choose the perfect venue,  enhance it with the perfect accessories, display the perfect accents... and make all your efforts all worthwhile for your dream wedding.

wedding-venue.png

Your ceremony:

It's fabulous Feng Shui to invite Mother Nature to your wedding by holding your ceremony at a beach, garden or park. Everyone relaxes, there's harmony in the air and you save enough for a good house deposit or dream honeymoon.

The venue:

There should not be any dark spots or corners or this would become an obstacle for  chi energy to flow freely. Therefore, if this happens you should place a plant by it or a light towards it.

The reception:

The set up of your reception is very important as well. There should be no rectangle or square tables in your reception area, as the hard, sharp angles create a feeling of conflict. Round or oval tables are perfect choices. Make sure the entire room is lit up. Dark areas hinder the Chi energy from flowing freely around the room.

The Flowers:

The flowers bouquet each holds a different meaning.  A lily can increase sensuality, A rose for romance, A sweat pea for creativity, Ivy is good for vitality, Ranunculus can help with prosperity, Snapdragons enhance spirituality, Tulips are good for the ambitious, Cosmos for those who value family and friends and quince for partners looking for new opportunities. Choose the one that is most appealing to you. We are always drawn naturally to a particular color, shape or scent.

The Accessories:

Everyone knows clear quartz crystals are Feng Shui cures. Not so many know that crystal dinnerware and chandeliers are also celestial cures, because they reflect light. For luck, take wedding photos under crystal chandeliers, add crystal candlesticks to your bridal table or include sparkling crystal tableware on your gift registry. You could wear crystals on your dress, veil or shoes. Crystal beading also looks exotic rimming tea lights on tables!

The color scheme:

The color you choose for your wedding will set the mood, and reflect you as a couple. Here is a list of popular wedding day colors and the feng shui meanings.

Red: Not only is it a traditional Chinese wedding color -- accenting your wedding day with red also creates a strong atmosphere of love and romance.

Pink: Perfect for a younger couple, pink evokes a sense of fun playfulness and lightheartedness.

Purple and violet: Good for a smaller, more intimate wedding celebration with close family and friends, purples give off a very sexy, passionate vibe.

Black and white: A favorite combination for creating positive feng shui, black and white together represent a strong, balanced relationship -- as in the yin and the yang.

Blues and greens: A good color combo for a couple who has known each other for many years, or even a second wedding, because blues and greens promote a calm feeling.

Yellow: This bright, sunny color is the hue of cheerfulness and the perfect color to add to a less-than-well-lit ceremony or reception space.

Orange: The ideal color for the couple with a large guest list, orange gives off a sense of warmth -- promoting conversation and a comfortable atmosphere.

Feng Shui Wedding: “ The Tradition”

Looking to have a Feng Shui wedding and still following "The Tradition". Feng Shui is this fabulous Asian philosophy that adapts itself to our western traditions and really let us have the best of both worlds. So for your wedding, you can have:

Something new: Your Bridal Bouquet can affect energy surrounding you in different ways. The colour, the scent and even the shape of the flowers all can have different meanings.

Something old:Be careful with vintage gowns! Feng Shui enthusiasts are aware that previously owned items carry the previous owners energy - that may be fine if you know them but if not ensure your starting with a clean slate by clearing old chi away. Hang the gown up overnight by a bowl of sea salt, walk around the gown several times and ring bells around it, or burn sage close by!

Something borrowed:"If you borrow something, borrow something blue from someone with a happy marriage and a happy family." The idea is that the energy of that person's happy life will give good energy to you on your wedding day. And by combining the age-old traditions of "something borrowed" with "something blue" (blue is the feng shui color of peace and serenity), you'll promote wedding day feng shui.

Something blue: Do you always think of Red when you think of Feng Shui? Actually Blue is a fabulous colour for your wedding. Blue offers peace and serenity, so that Blue Garter is probably a really good idea! Every bride could use that extra boost!

Your family will be happy, even with a  Feng Shui wedding, the traditions that your mothers and grand mothers and generations before have been using for good luck and happiness are still up to date today and we can make them work with Feng Shui.

Feng Shui wedding: “ Choosing the dress”

They say...it’s all about the dress!

According to feng shui, a color representing the element earth, such as very light beige or a cream color, would attract good luck and therefore would be ideal for your dress. Besides this, feng shui also recommends to wear or carry something red. Red is the color of happiness, and you would be attracting it by wearing at least one small detail in that color. Another great option is to wear a Yin & Yang dress for positive energy and  a strong balanced relationship.

Your fabric choices are also important.

The couple and their bridal party should wear a combination of heavy and light fabrics to add balance and good energy to their attire. Heavily textured fabrics, such as brocade, satin, and shantung,- describe a quiet energy -- considered the yin. Light fabrics, such as organza, tulle, and chiffon, are louder and more excitable materials -- those are the yang.

Here are some examples:

A Feng Shui Wedding: Picking the Date!

Your wedding is the most important day of your life and it is essential that your environment should nurture you and make you feel uplifted. The atmosphere should be one of harmony, love, and warmth. Using Feng Shui in your wedding will reduce the stress on the bride and groom and their families on the special day. Choosing the proper color décor and location will create the glorious setting that you desire for your wedding day. There are some Feng Shui guidelines that will help you with the harmony and balance of the ceremony as well as with the reception.

The first thing most couples do is pick a date.
 calendar.jpg
Ideally you should choose a date of the month with either an 8 or 9 in it, or numbers that add up to one of these.
In Chinese tradition 8 means love and 9 means eternity.
The 18th is the most perfect date as it has an 8 in it AND it adds up to 9.
Other favorable dates are the 8th, 9th, 17th, 19th, 28th and 29th.

Enhance your Relationship with Feng Shui

  red hearts

Whether you are looking for Mr or Mrs Right or you already have him or her in your life, Feng Shui – ancient Chinese art – will enhance your special partnership and make your love life sparkle. How does it work? You need to ensure that the energy called Chi, flows freely in your home by placing your furniture and personal objects around you in a specific way. The objective is to create for yourself an environment that reflects the love life you want.

Here are the 9 top tips for Feng Shui in the bedroom:

1) Clean up your bedroom — When your bedroom is cluttered and untidy, the energy in there will be low and slow. Clutter is a sure sign that chi is stuck, so roll up your sleeves and clean the place up if you want to jump-start your love life. Ring a bell, shake a rattle, or clap your hands loudly around the room to clear out old, stale energy.
2) Position your bed harmoniously — The rule of thumb for proper bed position is to place it on a solid wall, diagonal from the door, allowing full view of the room and its entry while lying in bed. Avoid placing the bed in line with a doorway, since this can cause feelings of vulnerability and defensiveness. Also avoid alignment with the bathroom door, as this can contribute to feeling drained, tired or having restless sleep pattern.
3) Add a Solid Headboard to Your Bed — A headboard represents support, and energetically brings both sides of the bed together, creating harmonious union for partners. If possible, avoid metal headboards since they can be conductive (particularly sensitive people have difficulty resting peacefully on metal-framed beds or near a metal headboard).
4) Display Romantic Artwork — No matter where the master bedroom is located in your home, surround yourselves with art that calls forth a feeling of love and romance with each other. Be careful of art that has a single man or single woman pictured in it, or one that has three or more people in it. Relationships are challenging enough between two people; bringing a third party into your bedroom, even in art, is just not supportive to a couple.
5) Think pink, peach, Red and white — Pink and white are the colors of relationship. You can use them for your bed sheets, your undergarments, pillows, accents. Peach is the color of new love. If you want to attract a new partner, use peach in your bedroom.  Red represents hot passion. His power is unlimited.

6) Remove old relationship energy Go through your home--especially your bedroom--and remove anything that reminds you of past failed relationships; this could be an ex-boyfriend's old sweater you find in the closet, photographs of you with a previous partner, a gift that reminds you (unfavorably) of a giver with whom you are no longer in love--anything that reminds you of a love that went bad. No matter how incurable a romantic you may be, do NOT keep old love letters anywhere in your bedroom unless they are from someone with whom you are still blissfully paired up.
7) Get things in pairs — Set up a nightstand on both sides of your bed, to accommodate the needs of your partner. Include lamps (so that he or she can read romantic poetry to you at night!). And get things in pairs: pillows, candles…
8) Open the door to love Make sure both the front door of your home and the door to your bedroom open easily and completely. Doors that stick, squeak, or that only opens partway because of all the stuff stored behind them are blocking the flow of romantic energy and opportunity into your home. A loose doorknob on your bedroom door could mean you're having a hard time "getting a handle on" romance; get out your screwdriver and tighten it up.
9) Clarify your intention Make a collage of images that symbolize your perfect relationship, and place it where you will see it every day. Compose a list of the qualities of your ideal soul mate on a red page and place it in the love area of your bedroom (right hand far corner from the door).  If you are already in a relationship, invite your partner to make collage with you, to represent your intention to build a joyful and loving future together.
Now that you have all the tools, let’s Feng Shui your bedroom and enjoy the Love!
