A monochromatic room is classically calming and soothing. The concept arose in the 1970s with the use of natural and neutral color schemes but today the trend has blossomed to include the entire color wheel.  What does monochromatic mean exactly? Well, mono means “one,” and chromatic means of or relating to color.  Therefore any room designed in one single color qualifies.
